Living & Design 2016 in Osaka, Japan

Brent just visited Osaka, Japan for the Living and Design 2016 Tradeshow where he gave the opening speech and presented his work. The show mostly featured Japanese artists and designers, including homebuilders, furniture makers and producers of household design products from Thailand, Italy, North America and other parts of the world.

Brent made opening speech for the show and also gave a presentation of his work, sharing the stage with the renown Japanese designer Toshiyuki Kita, who is also the Executive Producer of the show. Brent also got the chance to do some sightseeing near Osaka, as well as to meet Shigura Ban, one of the leading Japanese architects, to discuss his work and share their experiences.

Japanese design has always been a great source of inspiration for Brent. The approach to design is remarkable the way the designed space and overall ambiance is shaped by the presence of nature. While the perception of design at times can be leading away from the natural sources, Japan is a great example how well the lives of people can be incorporated with nature.
